For volunteers under the age of 18 on event day, it is necessary for a parent or legal guardian to accept our Volunteer Agreement, including the Acknowledgment of Risk, Publicity Waiver and Release and Liability Release on behalf of the minor volunteer.

Volunteer Agreement
Please carefully review the below on behalf of your minor volunteer’s service for the La Jolla Tour d’Elegance or the La Jolla Concours d’Elegance events, both occurring the weekend of April 25-26, 2026.

I understand that the minor volunteer may be required to attend at least one training event per role. This may be a physical meeting or a video call at the discretion of the team captain.

I understand that there is a uniform requirement. The basic Saturday Tour and Sunday Concours uniform is a plain, white, collared shirt and khaki pants or skirt.

The minor volunteer agrees to notify his/her team captain in advance of the event if he/she becomes unable to attend. He/she agrees to be on time for the agreed shift and to work until dismissed by the team captain.

The minor volunteer understand he/she may not consume alcohol or show up at the event under the influence.

We understand that failure to abide by #1-4 above may result in the minor volunteer’s dismissal and disqualification from future volunteering.

Acknowledgment of Risk: I acknowledge and agree that the minor volunteer’s participation in the above events is strictly voluntary and may consist of strenuous activities in a fast-paced indoor or outdoor environment in areas that contain uneven and slippery surfaces, may expose him/her to vehicular traffic including associated pollutants, and may involve long periods of standing in bright sunlight or cool weather. I also acknowledge that working with the public may result in exposure to COVID-19 which can result in testing or quarantine requirements, severe illness, hospitalization, the need for intubation/ventilator support, and other potential complications, both known and unknown, including the risk of death to the minor volunteer, his/her family, and/or personal contacts. I expressly and voluntarily assume all such risks for the minor volunteer.

Publicity Waiver and Release agreement: The above events are increasingly televised and documented in various media channels. By volunteering for them, I understand the minor volunteer’s likeness and images may be recorded in still or motion formats. I consent to the use of his/her images taken during the course of the events for publicity, promotional, and/or commercial purposes and waive all claims for compensation for their use or for damages.

Liability Release agreement: I, for the minor volunteer, his/her heirs and assigns hereby waive any and all claims, demands, causes of action, or any claims for relief whatsoever and release, hold harmless, and indemnify McFarlane Promotions, Inc., events.com, The La Jolla Historical Society, Porsches and Power on Prospect, La Jolla Tour d’Elegance, La Jolla Motor Car Classic and La Jolla Concours d’Elegance organizers from all liability, claims, causes of action, demands, losses, and damages, now or in the future, related to or in connection with the minor volunteer’s attendance and participation in the above events.
